We’re thrilled to announce that the world’s largest electrochemical ammonia synthesis stack is now fully balanced and operating just as expected! This is a major step forward for green ammonia production. The next phase is already underway: we’re iterating on different deposition techniques with multiple partners on our now 400 cm2 electrodes to push toward record-breaking current densities for this system.
We’re also excited to welcome two new NitroChemists to the team: Jared and Eva! Jared will focus on characterization and testing of our electrochemical stacks, while Eva is diving into optimizing electrolyte formulations to boost both performance and longevity. They’ve already brought great energy to the lab, and we can’t wait to see the impact of their work.
In May, Alfa Laval hosted the annual meeting of the Long Duration Energy Storage Council, and NitroVolt was honored to be one of four startups selected from the Innovation House to showcase their work. We had the opportunity to pitch our technology and journey to a fantastic audience spanning the entire energy storage value chain, from pioneering tech developers to major investors. Our CTO, Mattia, gave a lab tour that sparked so much interest, the organizers had to usher people along to stay on schedule! Huge thanks to Alfa Laval for the opportunity to present NitroVolt to such a high-caliber group.
Stay tuned for next month’s edition, where we’ll share exciting updates on our high-surface-area electrodes!
Best regards,
The NitroTeam
