Winter is coming… But not inside the newly air-conditioned NitroLabs, where the team is now enjoying a cozy and consistent 22–24°C (meanwhile, the glovebox in the factory hall remains a bracing 17°C, which is character-building, right?). Still, the team soldiers on with warm coffee and even warmer enthusiasm.
After six months of intense gasket prototyping, we’re thrilled to share a major milestone: we’ve finally found the perfect partner in GITIS to co-develop and produce our novel gasket. And the results? Our 400 cm² stack now seals completely at 10 bar, with no measurable leaks. Below you’ll see a very happy Alessandro holding the old gaskets that leaked at just 3 bar, while behind him the 4-cell stack sits proudly, tight as a drum. Next step: ordering 20 new gaskets for the upcoming 10-cell stack, and then in Q1, a whopping 120 gasket order. Onwards and up!

“Still doubting Europe? Go to HEL!” was the iconic slogan at SLUSH in Helsinki this year, and as a European startup, we felt that energy deeply. Europe is once again being challenged to turn crisis into industrial-scale innovation. Yes, some races have moved East (looking at you, PV), but in many sectors European manufacturing and engineering excellence remain world-class, especially in deep-tech. With the post climate-tech bubble settling, investors are shifting from hype-driven “climate tourism” to conviction-led capital: backing teams that can scale real green businesses without a green premium. And at NitroVolt, we’re more than ready for that challenge.

Our NitroEngineering team also took a field trip to Vordingborg Municipality, where our first NitroBox demo unit will be installed next year. The visit delivered two wins: Firstly, much-needed clarity on regulations and certifications (good news: fewer than expected!). Secondly, a visit to the farm in Præstø, where the team finally selected the exact site for installation, meaning site planning can officially begin. And yes… they also got to admire some very large tractors and farm machinery. Engineers + heavy equipment = pure joy.

Our next newsletter will arrive at the end of January, as we take a short winter break. And stay tuned, something very big is coming next quarter.
Hint: it’s container-sized.
Wishing all of you a warm and restful holiday season,
The NitroTeam
